Colvin, 89, will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Shiloh Truelight Church of Christ in Mint Hill with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shiloh Truelight Church of Christ, 8614 Truelight Church Road, Mint Hill, N.C. 28227.Mrs. Colvin, wife of the late Charles Kenneth Colvin, passed away at KershawHealth on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Born in Lee County, she was the daughter of the late James McDuffie and Maude Huntley McGee. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Truelight Church of Christ. She volunteered at the Mill House and enjoyed cooking, gardening and flowers. Mrs. Colvin was a devoted mother and grandmother.Surviving are her children, Charles Colvin (Cheryl) of Camden, Wayne Colvin (Margaret) of Lugoff, Russell Colvin (Sandy) of Camden, Myron Colvin of Charlotte, Tony Colvin (Debbie) of Camden, Charlene Watford (Billy) of Cassatt, and Delores Chabot of Lugoff; sister, Martha Watson of Bishopville; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by grandchildren, Heather Colvin and Brian Colvin; brothers, Cleo McGee, Arnold McGee and A.D. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Jake K. Elliott and Lucy Wilson Elliott Horne. She received her B.S. Degree from the University of South Carolina and worked as an R.N. for Kershaw County Memorial Hospital and retired in 1995 after 22 years as a nurse at DuPont.
